Intune 2 Additional License

Post by russellmc »

It's been a few years since needing my Intune 2 (last tuned vehicle departed nearly three years ago); however, recently purchased a 2016 Corvette Stingray and wish to deactivate the 4 cylinder mode using my (now again usefuel) I2. I purchased the additional tuning license for I2 (Order No. HLY1410304), updated the Intune 2 unit using the Update Agent 1.0 on the PC, plugged into the Corvette, and received a message that VIN wasn't recognized and to check for updates. I checked and no updates are available. I apparently missed a step or two. Please advise.

Thanks,
Russell

I recall reverting the tuned vehicle back to the factory tune before trading it in; although, unsure if I "unmarried" it from the Intune 2. I noticed two VIN numbers (I purchased an additional license previously) are still in the "erase custom tunes" option.

That error message usually indicates that you have an older calibration ID in your ECM that is not currently supported... Getting your ECM updated by your dealer to the latest GM factory updates should solve that issue...

Or contact diablosport tech support next week when they're back in the office, and maybe they can add your calibration ID into a new update, not sure... [email protected]

GM was my intent this last time; although, that apparently didn't happen. Although I don't have the two previous licensed Chrysler 300s, I'm thinking I must update my Intune2 since it's been inactive for a few years and then add an additional license for my 2016 Corvette. After updating my Intune2, the UpdateAgent sent me to a list of available purchase selections. I selected the "Additional tuning license for use with i2, i3 or T2 Part # D1002-3R $164.95". Order #HLY1410304. The description did not specify vehicle model, GM, or otherwise.

Was I correct in thinking I needed to update the InTune2 and purchase an additional license for the 2016 Corvette. I presume I need an additional license for the Corvette; although, currently that's the only vehicle I'll be using the InTune2 for. I do have a 2004 Corvette and may add an additional license for it. First is for the 2016.

How must I proceed please to get a canned tune package for my 2016 Corvette on my InTune i2. What must I then do to add the 2004 Corvette.

Thank you for helping sort this out.
