Intune i3 doesn't see my tcm

Post by The beast 1500 »

2017 ram 1500 5.7 hemi and 8 speed zf tranny
I purchased the tuner and swap pcm recently. I I installed the unlocked pcm and the 87 octane tune. During the initial read I got a message saying some ECU's in this vehicle are not supported.

The tune completed just fine and the truck seems to perform better. But I wanted to firm up the shifting in the tranny.

I put the tuner on my PC and there is only the PCM file and no TCM file. Am I missing something or is there something you can do for me?
Thank you

its attached 2x :)

It is asking for an update for the tcm. Connect to a pc, run Update Agent, and it should pull a calibration update file. If not it should display a message that the file was not found, in which case, we'll need to add it.

So I updated and it found the calibration file and I installed it. Then I installed the 87 octane tune and modified some parameters like tire size throttle response, etc., etc. and the tune finished. But during the tune, I got an error and I posted a picture of it and also I can't get to the TCM to program it I'm assuming it was under the blacked out option install custom tune. And I'm also curious as to why three days ago when I updated my tuner that now three days later, it has a update for the calibration file. I'm confused why do these things need to be updated so often?

the update needed was specific to your vehicle, the device cant know you need it until you've connected to the vehicle, hence the need to update the 2nd time.

Not sure what that error is from, looks like a parameter you were attempting to adjust. Feel free to reach out to our team for help here, 561-908-0040 or [email protected]

I contacted holly support and he explained everything to me as to how and why my tuner updates. We resolved everything. Not sure why he asked for the name of person I was dealing with on the forum but it's irrelevant sine I forgot your name. My guess is that the folder on the server used for my particular tuner wasn't populated with all the current updates

I can't say this was a good experience for me but in the end I was lucky to get it done
