need some help. 2014 silverado 5.3

Post by yodasmaster »

have the intune3 platinum. i did modify stoke tune parameters. after a month or so i plugged the handheld tuner into my laptop and updated the software but (forgot to flash my stock files back to my truck) not thinking i went and tried flashing back to stock and was greeted with (tcm in this vehicle is not currently supported, but can be read. once read the file can be submitted to tech support. ) i click yes and then get this message (unable to read a backup of this TCM error 741,1.) i just left it at that and went about my business for a few weeks. this past Saturday i tried again to flash back to stock. the tuner glitched and froze. i tried one more time and got a message that said ( this tool is in recovery mode. tap yes to restore the original back up recommended tap no to enter support menu.) when i click yes it goes to read my TCM and then just freezes. with my jump pack on my battery i let it sit for 45 min to see if it would do anything, it stayed frozen. i noticed my check engine light is on and the red gear position indicator is not lighting up. ended up hooking up my snap-on scanner and cannot talk to the tcm. i went through tech support but they did the basic stuff, battery reset etc. mike any help is appreciated. let me know if i need to send any files. i did send my files to the support email but haven't gotten a response yet. thank you for your time.

Im not sure what happened here.
If the truck is not running, please give us a call so we can try getting the stock tune back in the tcm.

So the truck does start and run. I can move it in my work parking lot but it feels like it’s in 3rd or 4th gear, feels very very slow limp mode. When i call support what all should i say? Just asking because when i called them the first time they never mentioned trying to put the stock tune back in the Tcm. I guess I have to try and get the stock tune into the ecm as well?

Im guessing they didnt realize the tcm was upset. Be sure to tell them the tcm is not working as expected and to try getting it back to stock.

Did you call in Monday, and they suggested getting it to a dealer to be reflashed?
