i3 in recovery mode

Post by ls2slow »

Hey guys so I tried to update my tune on my 2005 corvette today but when I plug in the i3 in, the following message appears:

"This tool is in recovery mode and no obd2 voltage has been detected. Please ensure the cable is connected."
I then press yes to continue and then it says: "Tune Writing failed! Please unplug the tool or tap continue to reboot."
I then press continue and the screen shows: "Please wait while the tool reboots"
It then resets and im back to where I began.

Is there any way to hard reset the i3? I've tried plugging it to my pc but It does the same thing.

hmm, it is in recovery because it thinks the last tune attempt failed, which is odd.
Give us a call with it powered up in the car and a pc nearby, 561-908-0040

Make sure you had it in RUN mode, by pressing/holding the start button.
