Have a 2014 2500HD work truck with a 4.10 rear. Has 230k miles. Bit of a project over time. I’ve put a 3000w inverter in it, a 116 gal fuel tank in the bed for filling up boats, mud tires for the beach, replaced the Cats, and have done multiple engine flushes after getting her nice and hot as well as three fluid exchanges on tranny. She now runs great but just wish I had more power.
Since I haul fuel for the boats, and this sits for periods of time, I get ethanol free 90 octane fuel at the local co-op. I’d read in the past that tunes needed better fuel. I’m not on 93 octane but wondered if I could tune it while running the eth free 90 octane and what kind of gains I could see?
How much does a Diablo tune add to a 6.0ls?

Re: How much does a Diablo tune add to a 6.0ls?
Im struggling to find a dyno sheet from 10+ years ago, but I assure you, some of the best gains available in tuning come from the 6.0 gas trucks. GM implements a PE delay that keeps it from making power, even at WOT, then slowly ramps power in. We eliminate that completely leading to big torque gains down low and all through the rpm range, even on 87 octane fuel with the 87 tune.
