Cam Upgraded required custom tune, but my ECU now cannot "ready" the EGR drive cycle...

Post by Drfy1 »

Ive done multiple searches, so far ive come up with: return to original back up, drive car and "ready" all your drive cycles, pass your smog-check then install custom tune back. BUT my prob is the car wont run steady enough with the upgraded cam on original back up. Im definitely not putting stock cam back in and all. Is there a way to write a tune that doesnt alter certain parameteres enough so as to allow my ECU to proceed to "ready" my (non existing)EGR drive cycle? Any info or options is much appreciated.
Thanks,

This is something you need to discuss with your tuner. Are you sure he hasn't disabled the EGR or made some changes that might keep it from operating properly?
Or are you saying you've removed the EGR system?
