U7142 Connection problem

I have a U7000 converted to a U7142. It will not connect to my computer except by a Legacy connect. EVERY computer I try to do an auto-connect on it simply will not connect.

How am I supposed to download my data logged files to the DataViewer if it will not connect to ANY computer I try?

"Legacy connect" is a term used only in DS Downloader. You don't get your logs through DS Downloader.

You do that through the DataViewer itself. Make sure you have version 3.1.7.2 of the DataViewer.

I have that. Downloaded from the U7142 page. It still doesn't see the Predator. I was just giving the Legacy connect for your information as it doesn't auto connect their either. I have the log ready but don't know how to download it to the computer.

I assume your Predator is cobra-8r01? There is a chance that this particular Predator is missing the protocols that the DataViewer needs to detect it, which will have to be investigated.

Are you able to download the log using CMR_DAT? If so, you could save the file via CMR_DAT to disk, then open the file with the DataViewer. CMR_DAT does not auto-detection, so you will have to know your COM port.

I am having the same problem with the u7142 with 7r12d. Saving the file with CMR and viewing it with dataviewer works.

Updating the U7142 to release 9r01 solves that problem in DS Downloader.

I also didn't have a problem with the CMR app either with connecting after I flashed the tool to the 9r01 firmware release.
