RE: is it possible to recalibrate the predator
no, will have to have your cmr tunes redone to accept the new calibration.

Re: RE: is it possible to recalibrate the predator
If your tuner has email he can do it that way.venom_srt8 wrote:aww man another 125 mile ride again lol
* save your cmr tune on the PC (you did that)
* restore original backup on the car (you did that)
* update the predator to 9r04 (you did that)
* go to car and take care of calid and whatever (you did that)
* go to the car, go to performance tunes and go to load one of the canned tunes and it will copy your original backup to the predator (you did that?) You don't have to actually install the canned tune, just go until your Original Backup is copied to the Predator.
* go to the PC and save your (new) Original Backup
Email your tuner your (new) Original Backup and the (old) cmr tune. He should be able to modify the calid and send your cmr tune back to you.
something like that.

when i tried to go to advanced on the ds downloader mine you i reset my preadotor to stock it told me the cmr tune was the same as the orignal backup
does that mean i need to plug the predator up to my car and press a tune
then when it saids orginal tune has been saved then unplug it and try to install my cmr tune
thanks for the help or plz help ty
RE: Re: RE: is it possible to recalibrate the predator
If you restored the original backup it puts the original backup on the car, it wipes the custom tune area on the predator, and it resets the predator - it's no longer "married" to your car. It's just like it came out of the box. It shouldn't have any original backup on it.
So if the dsdownloader is saying the cmr tune is the same as the original backup then it's comparing the tune file you selected (the cmr tune file) with what you said was your original backup tune file. The implication is that they are the same. Did you save or rename the origiinal backup as the cmr file by mistake? Did you tell the Dsdownloader that the cmr tune file was the original backup?
In the DSdownloader, when you select a custom tune file to be added, you will be asked for the location of the Original Backup file. You need to point it to the Original Backup file at that point. I think it then validates a bunch of stuff like if they're different, if the cmr tune file is for the same car as the original backup, if the calid's match, etc.

Re: RE: Re: RE: is it possible to recalibrate the predator
no i didnt save as cmr but maybe my tuner did something wrong but like i said i had to recal the predator to all the same numbers but with 9r02 wasQuick wrote:If you restored the original backup it puts the original backup on the car, it wipes the custom tune area on the predator, and it resets the predator - it's no longer "married" to your car. numbers ending with ak and the 9r04 cail numbers are the same as the ak but with aj when it said it was the exact same and the i press ok it took 3 seconds to put in the preadotot then then it said successful then i pressed ok then i saw the screen on predator it said it was in remote mode whats that
well guess il have to retune it theres another couple hundreds
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: is it possible to recalibrate the predat
You should be able to work everything out through email with your tuner. As long as somebody has a copy of the cmr tune you got before. Did you call you tuner?
