Are you running the K&N CAI tune?
8r03 is a very old revision, may want to update the Predator then retune the car.

Thanks

May be a leak in the CAI after the MAF?
MAF installed backwards?
Loose plug or wiring?

Does it throw any codes?

well, I have tried for the last hour to get this thing to connect with my pc, and download the new update. I have tried every possible config that it said to try with no luck. I am not getting any corruption notice just refuses to connect.

I am starting to really regret buying this thing since I cannot talk to anyone there as I go to work at 530am(mst and usually do not get off until 5pm(mst)....

and the fact my car ran good before I hooked this to it....

I have unistalled and reinstalled the downloader, I have tried to trick it by having the file avail then powering it up...nothing.

Help

Did you restart after you installed the drivers?

Yeah, sounds like a driver issue if DSDL will not connect to the tool.

OH wait....8r03 may be so old it will not auto detect.
May need to use Legacy mode and manually set up the COM ports and baud rates.

Thanks

Are you using usb to serial, or another type of connection to connect the tuner to your computer?

If you are using usb to serial to connect the tuner to the computer this should pop up under Ports (Comm and LPT) - "Prolific Usb-to-Serial Comm Port (COM3)". Right click on it and press properties, then on Port Settings set bits per seconds to 115200. Then on DS Downloader remove auto connect on the option menu. Then you should be able to select the the correct com whether it is com1, com2, or com3. If nothing pops up under Ports (Comm and LPT) try unplugging your tuner, resetting your computer, and do not plug back it in until the computer restart. If the computer still does not find it then Port Com 3 may already be used by another device installed in your computer. Usually what uses this port could be a standard phone modem or such other device. You should remove any unused devices from your computer and uninstall them from device manager to free this port up. Once this is done try setting up the tuner to your computer again.
