Hey Mike and Johan!
Skylar from bishop Sales in Vancouver BC here,
We've got a couple 300C's in the shop right now, both 2005's.
We put the Arizona Speed and Marine Superchargers on both.
the first car was running the UNISHIT software, that was causing problems.
The codes that came up were:
P0300 - Multiple Random Misfire Detected
P0303 - Cylinder #3 Misfire detected
So from there, we contacted Jim at AZ Speed and he said they stopped using the Unishit software and do Diablo tuners now.
So we take off the Unichip, plug in the diablo, get the orignal backup copied and sent down to AZ Speed, Jim makes us up a tune to your guys spec apparently, and it runs terrible..
Misfires at idle constantly, same codes come back, stumbles and hesitates.
AZ Speed revises the tune, same thing, runs worse though.. more of a misfire, and now we've got low compression on cylinder 3 (were thinking that it may be mechanical adding to this as they had horrible valve springs that are prone to breaking)
Issue needs to be resolved ASAP
Second car, has over $100k invested into it, pure show car, 2005 model as well.
We installed the kit, got a tune from AZ Speed, fired the car up, ran great, idled perfect, reved nice. Then when it came to the road test, it ran like crap, misfired, stumbled, and terrible pinging and knocking.
Sent the tune back to AZ Speed, they revised it, even worse, more of a misfire. Got another tune made, and its worse than ever..
-Misfires constantly
-Pingin
-no power
-wont spin tires with trac-cont off
-Throttle hesitation and cut out
-intermitant throttle response under load
-same codes as other car, but compression is fine.. P0303, P0300
Jim has asked me to contact you guys, Johan and Mike, and find out what to do next as he is at a loss as well. Whats the deal with these tunes, what should I look for. I have every file saved on my computer, The original backup, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tune revisions..
Please contact me ASAP, I have left you both messeges as well.
Thanks!

Mike sent you back a few tunes, lemme know how they do.
Also, we should prolly keep this in the dealer section, I will make sure you have access now.
Thanks

Thanks for the tunes dude, it runs a bit better for sure, but still pings a bit under boost, also under partial throttle it stumbles and hesitates like crazy.. bright side is, starts up nice!
as for addressing the Cylinder #3 Misfire before hand, were trying to eliminate options like we have been doing on the #1 300C, we changed coil packs, plug leads, spark plugs, were playing with the tune now, and I got a set of valve springs sitting here waiting because apparently 2003-2005 5.7L HEMI motors had crappy springs and are prone to breaking, causing a misfire? but I'm trying to eliminate electrical issues before I tackle 10 hours of valve springs.. lol

Ummm, Ok. I know absolutely nothing about the 5.7's. With the 6.1's I'd be a little worried about little holes in the top of the piston after a broken valve spring. Sounds like Mike is going to take care of you. Good idea about moving it to the dealer's section. Haha, otherwise you're going to have people like me chiming in with stupid commentsSkylarA wrote:as for addressing the Cylinder #3 Misfire before hand, were trying to eliminate options like we have been doing on the #1 300C, we changed coil packs, plug leads, spark plugs, were playing with the tune now, and I got a set of valve springs sitting here waiting because apparently 2003-2005 5.7L HEMI motors had crappy springs and are prone to breaking, causing a misfire? but I'm trying to eliminate electrical issues before I tackle 10 hours of valve springs.. lol
