How safe is it to change transmission pressures?

I have read that many claim the best mileage in 100HP setting with the U7170. The manual says to use Hard shift option in this setting. Is it safe to run this higher line pressure continually or will it eventually cause transmission problems?

Actually less slip would equal less wear so it's night make last longer with that power level.
