06 Impala SS- car "jerks" switching from v4 to v8

Post by ckso226 »

Predator U7191
serial # of predator- 221971
Software Revision- Latest one: Release 9r02 - 07-24-08

-This is my first time posting on this website. Just got the Predator a few days ago and i updated it to the latest revision as soon as i opened the box.

Ever since ive put in the 91 octane tune with DOD, ive been getting this jerk every time the car switches from 4 to 8 cylinders. It jerks about 200-300 rpm and then settles. Is this something that i should worry about or??

-Also would like to know if this car "jerk" is normal or if it's something thats being fixed in a newer revision??

-Does anyone else with the LS4 DOD engine get this problem?

Only Mods i have are a K&N CAI. Tune was installed properly according to instructions and i've never had this car "jerk" with the stock/factory tune.

Thanks alot.
(Also posted this on the GM gas forum) BTW

Its probably due to the reduced torque management. Couldn't say for sure since I have no experience with DOD or the LS4, but that would be my guess.
