I bought the Pedator U7195 for my 2003 GMC 4x4 6.0l gas from a local dealer new. They actually programed my new tire size for me and they also put the 87 oct fuel tune in for me (Now thats service). Problem is that my speedo is still exactly 7 mph (@60mph) slower than I'm actually going and that is exactly what it was before the tuner was put on it. Also when I got home (a 20 mile trip) I shut the truck off for a few hours and when I restarted it the engine surged for about 1 min.
Any thoughts on why the engine was surging and what can I do to fix the speedo?

Go in and reset parameters.
Then go to the tire size option and set the FACTORY tire size first, then the new ACTUAL tire size and reinstall, sometimes people forget to add the factory size first.
Thanks
Mike

That worked perfectly, it's on the money (within 2/10s mph). You guys are great, thanks. Will the engine surge clear up or do you think that will be an ongoing thing?

Mike,
I noticed to have the same problem, however will the U7193 for an 04 Avalanche will have the same option as the one that U7195 has? Forgot to mention that I already own the U7193 model, after looking at this post, got curius to find out if with my device I could do that too.

Not sure about the surge, that may need to be looked into, it should not be a result of the tune by any means though.Justardnck wrote:That worked perfectly, it's on the money (within 2/10s mph). It didn't do it before the tune thoughmikel wrote:Not sure about the surge, that may need to be looked into, it should not be a result of the tune by any means though.Justardnck wrote:That worked perfectly, it's on the money (within 2/10s mph). you can always try removing the tune, and going back to factory settings..... and then see if the surging continues.

It didn't do it today, maybe it was just the computer still learning the tune
