Thanks for the reply and email. No, I do not tow with my truck on a regular basis. I keep it tuned to the middle (60hp) performance tune.
In all fairness, I want to report this... Though I thought they had been replaced at some point during one of the services, I checked my records and there was no reference to the fuel filters being replaced. I bought fuel filters from the dealership and replaced the filters. The one under the driver's seat was not horrific, but needed replacement. The one in the bowl in the engine compartment wasnt as bad, but still should've been replaced. Apparently, my aftermarket high-flow air cleaner had never been cleaned (in 28,000 miles
). It was pretty dirty, so I cleaned that, too.
I took a trip this weekend 160 miles each way and on the way down, noticed that my mileage increased from 10.9 to 11.2 on the dash display. On the way back, I got stuck behind a joker in the left lane going 65 - 70 max. I hit the reset button on my fuel mileage display and it settled around 12.8 mpg. After about 45 minutes behind pokey Joe, my mileage read 13.8 mpg (since my speedo has not been recalibrated to fit the larger tires, the mpg calculates to about 16.5 mpg). Dont get me wrong, I would have only gone 75-79 mph it this guy wasnt in front of me. I have to assume that the fuel filters and air filter had something to do with my increased mileage. However, I didnt realize it would be THAT pronounced.
I am going to continue to monitor my performace and follow the instructions in your email. Hopefully, this was just a maintenance issue, but I will check back in with a follow up.

Yeah, we find that better than 75% of the issues or complaints we have on diesel applications is due to dirty fuel filters...good find.

Hi Mikel
We bought a Diablosport Predator for our 2002 Ford E450 RV motor home class C which weight is about 13,500lbs and i was told that it would give me better fuel mileage then what am getting, I was getting 12.5 to 13.4MPG The dealer who i bought the Predator from, told me he set it for better economy, We have a 7.3 Power stroke, 2002 It dropped down to 10.5 MPG? I averaged 55-65 mph I do feel the horse power when starting out and passing cars on the highways, But i never had a problem before with horse power pulling a 32ft car trailer. Do you think we may have set the Predator wrong.

We took our motor home back to the dealer who programed the Diablosport Predator for us, and they re-programed it to 40hp tow tune, and said that it should help us with the weight am pulling 13.400lbs. It was programed at 60hp economy performance tune.
Is there a difference with the 40hp setting? MPG

Hi Sohfast94
The fuel mileage got worse, it dropped down to from 13.5 to 10.5mpg. So after talking with the tech people on here, They told me that the Diablosport Predator was not made for RVs and that i was pulling to much weight. 13.500lbs So i took it back and the dealer gave me my money back.
The one thing that i did fine rather useful was the help i got from the people on this forum and the tech guys from Diablosport Predator they were very informative. I will wait for someone to make a Chip for RVs. Thanks for asking.
