revolution burner question....

I am still sort of new at this.
I have the cmr software and am trying to learn how to burn a custom chip.
I have 2 questions:
1. Correct me if I am wrong...I thought that the black chips were considered "revolution" chips and the red chips were "delta" chips, which are being phased out. I recently purchased 2 revolution chips. When they came, they are red and they say "delta" on them. They have black pull tab attached (Im not sure if the color of the pull tab matters). Along with the CMR hardware I recieved a black chip that says "revolution" on it, and has a tune switch on a cable attached to it. I also have an older red chip from a customer that says ford diablo chip rev. 2 on it and has a red pulltab. I am confused as to what is what. Sorry for any confusion...

2. I tried to learn how to burn one of the recently recieved chips (red "delta" chip w/ a black pulltab), but when I click on the revolution burner icon, it pops up a message that says:
PortTalk: Unknown error while starting PortTalk driver device
PortTalk: Does Porttalk exist in your \System32\drivers directory?

I have D3 Ford Chip burner connected to my laptop, and powered up by the wall plug as well. Again, I'm sorry if these are "basic" questions. I have a copy of the comprehensive tuning manual, but I cant seem to find anything on this. I can't find any instructions on how this system works, so I am trying to just "jump in" so to speak. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently shipping Revolution chips that 'were' delta chips but have been converted.
Make sure you are on the latest burner update when using them please.
