2007,Dodge,Charger SRT
I have the Scan guage II and onie of the dipslahyh is has is a display of Horsepower. It goes up when you flloor it and down when youi let off the gas.
When crusing at 60 MPH, it shows about 75 HP
I have looked through this forum and the parameters but have not found out if the Predator will display HP. I would like to be able to logg that to see what the max value comes out to be.
Since the the Scanguage II displays HP it must be using values to compute it so can I get that info from the Predator?
Thanks

To see a HP number that actually means something, it must be done on a dyno, anything else is simply a guess...

RE: 2007 Charger SRT - How to measure Horsepower
The Scangauge readout shows horsepower currently being delivered to the road, based on a mathimatical formula. Its not accurate. The Predator can show torque being delivered. Its also mathimatically based and isn't accurate. Only way to measure power is by getting on a dyno.
thanks for the info.
the scanguage hp # is useless anyway because the omly thing one would want would be the max value and it has no logging capability.
Also,on the predator i converted the newton per meter torque to foot pounds and it was much less than the 6.1 hemi is rataed at so i am glad it is not an accurate number.
i can see the value of some sort of torque number in the Predator of course because the torque curve should follow the rpm curve and then one should see the falloff in torque up near 5 grand
