Wideband placement, LS3 corvette
Can I remove the driver's side primary O2 sensor and place my wideband there to get PE fuelling or will the missing O2 screw up the trims and ultimately screw up WOT fuelling?

Yeah, that will not work
The PCM is looking for the signal from the front O2 sensor to determine part throttle fueling.
You will dump the mileage to all hell as well...
Thanks

no, no, i know that... i mean just for WOT tuning, i.e. i'll remove the driver's side sensor (seems to run the leanest of the two), install my wideband then focus STRICTLY on WOT fuelling (pull 2nd gear 1000-redline adjusting PE until i'm around 12.5:1 1000-redline)mikel wrote:Yeah, that will not work

It would be better to simply have an extra bung welded into the exhaust for the wideband.

no no no. and , no.
put in and extra bung, takes 10 minutes. a simple drill, hole saw, and 110 wire feed welder. then if you decide to keep modding and want an lc-1 with a wideband gage in your car at all times, the bung is already there for you. put a screw in cap in the bung when you are finished.
