dealer visit, quick question

hey DS crew, I've got a quick question. I'm making a visit to the dealer on Friday and need to know everything I need to do to take out my DS tune and restore my factory tune. I've got my injector slope and some other shift point parameters changed.

Do I need to write down what I've changed, reset all my parameters, then restore the factory tune?

Or, if I don't reset my parameters, and restore the factory tune, when I put the DS tune back in, will the parameters still be changed?

you need to write down your changes, cuz once you restore your original backup, the predator is reset back to it's original condition, like when you first bought it.. . everything gets reset.

you don't have to reset anything beforehand, just restore the original backup.

when you go to reinstall the DS tune, you'll have to make all your adjustments again.

To save the "writing down changes" step, couldn't he just read the moded diablo tune as an extra tune? Then, when he was done using the stock tune at the dealer, just re-install the moded tune he saved as a custom tune?

not sure how to do that on his tho, as it's an older vehicle/predator, and the steps may be different...

What revision is it?
Should be able to do a read extra tune like KoD said, then import it as a custom afterwards...

Under options I DO have "PC communication." Mike, if I can't log, what is this option used for?

aaahhhh, you gots the old version....

I think you need to use the latest version of the DSDownloader... install that, then fire it up...

then connect your predator to your 'puter...

then from the DSDownloader, there should be an option to export tune... and you want to select "last tune written"


this will allow you to copy the last tune file that was written to your car... and it will save it to your PC... then you can email that tune file...
