volant is a pos. i just found 2 toothpic size holes in it

well...just got through running a log to dial in the ltft's and installing the new tune and for some reason decided to check out the volant...just to be sure...as i had read post about leaks can cause problems...i found 2 holes in the plastic tube near the tb....i dont know how i missed them when i installed it.....put some silicone to seal them up.....either way...after the new tune and fixing the leaks....i can no longer hear the kr i had been experiencing.....feeling better about that issue ...i guess i had better run a new log after fixing the holes in the volant......the hole is in a seam where they put the tubes together. now i am not sure who to complain to about the volant the place i bought it from or go through volant?? anyway it just stinks i gotta ugly spot of red silicone on the side of the tubing

i'd talk to the people you bought it from. find out volant warranty. probably find your receipt. if its the tube i'd think it shouldn't be a big deal to exchange. are the holes after the filter? could you have sucked in dirt?

the holes are right before the throttle body on the side where the seam is just behind the gasket at the tb...i am sure it could get dust in the hole...i went straight for an oil change after fixing the leaks

You can buy clear silicone. Re-DO it, get some flat black model paint and touch over it, if the red drives ya ntus.

Take a few digi-pics and sent it to Volante and give 'em a call. Always possible ya got a CAI that was kitted wrong or something... ??????
