Performance Tune

Post by rodcole1 »

I put the performance tune on my 2002 Escalade and really did not notice a difference. Any ideas ??

Sometimes in a large, heavy vehicle the extra 15-20 rwhp can be tough to feel.
I can assure you it is there, and this could be verified at the track or a chassis dyno.

what other mods are you running on your Escalade? have you done the exhaust yet, maybe 2.5 dia. pipe and some flowmasters, a cold air intake, also try using some fuel additive like the lucas oil for gas and diesel, so far its the best additive i have used yet, in my wife's 2000 subrban it has 103000 miles on it and it increased the hp a few points enough to notice and also the mpgs, she was getting 300 to 320 miles to a tank and now its getting 350 to 360 miles to a tank , and in my 04 gmc duramax 6.6 turbo diesel i am getting about 1.5 to 2 more miles to gallon.so worst case it atleast is paying for it self.

I have a cold air intake with the ram air snorkel in the tow hook space and 2-1/2 Corsa exhaust, also running 108 octane booster

Follow the instructions in the sticky above on how to dial in your tune using the live data.

do some logs, get your fuel trims dialed in and your PE fueling... there are 2 stickies at the top of the Predator GM forum that will help you out... "Macros for filtering log data..." and "Logging and Adjusting Injector Slope..."
