Downshifting whilst decelerating..

Predator & Vehicle details in sig.

I have played with all the shift settings, and unless I am doing something wrong they are all for shifting under/for acceleration.

Can/how do you adjust the shift points with the Predator for deceleration?

I would like to get more engine braking to slow down the HD, especially while towing. Currently it feels like it coasts while slowing, almost like it's in neutral. Would be nice to be able have some engine braking instead of relying 100% on brakes or manually down shifting the trans.

Very Happy with the results from my Predator!

does your truck have a tow haul button on the shifter? if it does when your towing press it and it should show a trailer icon on the dash to show that is on,when i do this on my truck when i let off the throttle it will down shift on its own. 04 dmax 2500HD 6.6.

Slam, I do have the Tow/Haul, but there is still minimal engine breaking on or off. This is not a problem since installing the tune, it has been like that since I bought it. I have 2 friends with the same truck and they are all the same, very little to no engine breaking. My 4.2l Trailblazer has a ton more engine breaking than my HD.

Example: Traveling say at 60mph and slowing to a stop for a light, the engine will slow to around 1400-1600 rpms and just stay there while braking until I come to a stop and then settle to idle speed. In Tow/Haul, it's pretty much the same only you will get a little blip in rpms when the trans downshifts.
