However, if you have a laptop and the dataviewer, you guys can probably log into the computer. Meaning that your computer will be able to keep the log for you instead of the diablo sport predator tool, but just the predator goes with you to your vehicle then you your computer should be going with you to log as well. Because if the predators with revision 2.XXX is able to communicate with the computer to transfer tunes, then chances are that you can log via your laptop, so you guys are not at a loss if that is possible, right?.

that's the light at the end of the tunnel I've been waiting for. please, please, please keep pushing for this and let us know when something concrete is settled.mikel wrote:There are several of us here pushing for a upgrade program to be put in place where older tools could be brought up to todays standards for a fair price....I will keep you all informed.
Thanks
Thanks

I find it interesting Diablo suggests that it's tools may not be such HOT sellers.mikel wrote:How?Brazen wrote:So if the initial software releae date of the 9r's was Aug 1st, there is a real good chance I will be receiving an older model. ;(
Like I said, we did not even produce ANY GM classII Predators for MONTHS prior to the update....so IF you get an old one, it has been sitting on a dealers shelf for months...
Thanks
I wonder why?

You can read into it like that, but thats not at all what I am saying here.WhiteBuffalo wrote:I find it interesting Diablo suggests that it's tools may not be such HOT sellers.mikel wrote:How?Brazen wrote:So if the initial software releae date of the 9r's was Aug 1st, there is a real good chance I will be receiving an older model. ;(

You'd be amazed at the number of fly by night performance shops out there that build a small inventory, then go out of business in a month. Someone buys all their parts, and opens a new store 3-4 months later, and voila, you have 6 month old-brand new Predators sitting on a shelf waiting to be delivered, by some dude that will never even look at them to see what revision is on them.
Since you had to question it, by the time we released the updated GM ClassII Predators, we had thousands on back order, so I'd say they are pretty hot sellers, no doubt.
Thanks

gotta remember, Diablosport does not sell direct to us users.... they only sell to dealers/resellers...
so they can't go too crazy with their pricing/markups, as they have to leave some room for the dealers/resellers to make their money too with their own markups...
if diablosport raised their markup for what they sell to the dealers/resellers for, then the dealers/resellers would have to increase their markup to consumers as well, so that they are still making their profit margin... so in the end, the predators would be even more expensive to us end-users...

Ya, you're right!
We all are getting a little naggy about things like TCM support, Logging Support, Lack of custom dyno tuning, ECMs that become toasters if you're not extremely careful, Hard inconsistent shifts and drive trains that sometimes fail all together ( though that's not totally Diablo fault....thanks GM)!
Perhaps if things were a little more spelled out like say, a full users manual that describes ALL of the adjustable parameters in detail to allow users to understand clearly what they are doing when they adjust something. Perhaps if Diablo had a support staff as attentive as certain users on this forum it might help with the whining. Maybe Diablo should reconsider their internet sales approach and only allow sales through dealers that intend on dyno tuning in conjunction with the sale of the tool! This ensures qualified staff install the tune and the end user gets some kind of training.
Just my .02.
Hey, I'll not comment on a single one of these threads from here on out. We are all whining over spilled milk. If I decide that I'm starting to regret owning the tool, I will look into something else and sell it. To bad that's the way it is but, that's what people need to consider.......

Hey WB...No one made u buy it! Tell me of another handheld that offers so much at this price? We all want a good affordable product, and I think we have the best! Patience goes a long way! The next step would be some sort of software, u know what I mean.(Not sure if other Brands can be posted here) We are all here to help each other out!
