LTFTs - Why doesn't the ECM do this?
Okay, so we're all adjusting our LTFT's. The computer has the data and to me it would seem obvious that it should monitor this, have some sort of a look up table (-2 and 0 for our case) and adjust injectors to suit. Why is this not the case and we need to do this manually? Is it just that GM cars don't have this functionality - I was told that on European cars like Audis, this is automatically done.

That would be something more that the manufacturers would have to build in. Plus they generally build things a little (or a lot) on the conservative side. That's how they can offer these longer warranties.

You don't need to do it manually. Your ECM does read and adjust. Just not to the preference of the enthusiast tuner.
