2004 z06 vette & 7193 & cags not off

Post by ls6vette »

Hi Mike,

I posted on LS1edit & will briefly post here. CAGS is still operational as per standard factory tune in spite of installing the performance tune (which is supposed to disable it) and in spite of you & I going into modify parameters (phone friday) to check it.

This is sort of a quality control thing, no? This should have been fixed/working many moons ago. CAGS has been around since mid 90's or earlier. I know the GM pcm's change, but doesn't anyone QC the Predator programs when the new pcm's come out?

Please check my ls1edit post for add'l info.

Please help. Thanks.

Thats not right.
For clarification, did the CAGS enable and keep you out of 2nd gear, or did you just see the light?
I'll look into this asap.

IBoth Mike, the dash light illuminates & the tranny IS blocked from 2nd (and 3rd) gear as is the normal operation per the Chevy FSM.

Does your GM tuner have a stock 04 zo6 pcm file? I think you guys call it a bin file? It should not be hard for him to look at that file & verify the the Predator tune is doing the correct changes?

BTW I went to the Corvette Forum tune board & there are quite a few z06 guys that had the same problem with cags & the Predator not shutting it off.

Thanks.

No, not currently....we are looking into adding some new features to these tools in the future however...
You can however view live data on the Predator.

I discussed this today with our tuner and he said I messed up!
When we installed the tune we should have selected 'off' under CAGS, even though it was already highlighted. What we need to do is go back in there and press enter when you select off under CAGS.
The tool will ask if you are sure, and then select yes.
Then press escape until it asks if you would like to install the modified tune.
Reinstalling the tune after selecting CAGS off will take care of this issue.
Give me a call if you need any assistance.

Thanks
