Hi there,
I have SRT-8 2006 year model, I only have CAI and removed the muffler from the oem catback, I've tried the 93 Octeen with CAI which I thought it matchs my tuning, I have Lm-1 wideband, I had to go -6 in the WOT to reach almost like 12.8:1 which should be good for NA, the problem once I shift to the 3rd it goes very rich 10.5, I tried to advance the timing 3+ but I had knock so I zero the timing out as it was, I wonder how can I lean out the 3rd gear?
By the way I've rised the rev till 6900 but I usually shift manually before that, i was able to tune the 1st and 2nd gear and the 1st few sec from 3rd gear but once it keeps going in the 3rd gear the a/f ratio goes very rich which I'm sure if I lean that till 12.8~13:1 i'll get much more power
I think the stock PCM made that rich so it doesn't hurt the motor
Any sugestion please, I need expert to answer my question please!

Before you go adjusting stuff to match the AFR you want, you need to log KR. No doubt, with that much fuel removed you're getting a TON of Short term knock retard, and probably quite a bit of Long term as well, which can hurt the motor. SRT8s require fuel to be added to combat KR.

Well, I want to say here that we have never tuned any HEMI to 12.8-13.0:1. They do not make peak power there.
Shoot for 12.3-12.5:1 for best results.

Thanks for the reply I've logged those short and long term and I don't have that much knock at all not more than 1.5 which I don't consider that as real knock it's almost like phantom knock, 12:8~13:1 isn't that much for any NA cars, I've tuned so many GM cars with hp tuners, I've tuned the similer liter size which is the G8 it accepts the 12:8 without a problem, why would the SRT require to be rich much more than the other V8 cars?

My question is how to make the 3rd gear leaner, it's like going into other map which I can't find where is that place in the predetor?

It's okay I can shoot for 12.3~12.5 but it's getting very rich in the 3rd gear, I only have 3 places in the predetor for WOT and I've changed all of them to -6, I think if I go to -4 it will be 12.3~12.5, by the way after we leaned the car out we got much more wheel spin than riching it because i read some where I have to rich it +3 to avoid knock but I relised it's better to lean out!

I just need to know how to lean this place in the top of the 3rd gear it keeps being too rich!

My CSRT8 lost tons of power on the dyno when it got in the 12.7 and up range. My CMR tune is right around 12.5 in the low and mid rpms and 12.2 in the upper rpms. Anyway, that is weird it goes to 10.5 when in 3rd gear. How long does it stay in the 10.5 range??

We got everything!

They probably figured if you have cats on there you probably didn't intend to burn them up :D . Get hi-flows or remove.

What sucks is the PCM makes a guess at what the cat temp is. It actually doesnt know the real temp.

Yep, it is all a predicted temp model. Unless you have some egt sensors that i have not seen :)
