02 avalanche 2500,8.1L, cannot change tire size. u7198 with new rev. 9r05.was told to revise predator & it still won't work. have tried to enter stock tire size then new size both by diameter [35] & 325-60-20. have tried new size only. will download but when i shift to rev speedo sweeps up & down, shift to drive & speedo sweeps & it is not driveable cause speedo pegs & fuel cutoff begins,please help!

Try repeating a few times mine took 2 times to get it to stay.

Rangercliff,

You are not the only one with the tire issue, I been playing with my predator to adjust the tire size to , cluster. I am off by 2.65 miles at 75mph and about 2 miles per hour at 35 mph.

Just out of curiosity, could the speedo problem be a cluster related problem. I own a 2004 Chevy Avalanche 1500, 5.3L, and after a year that had acquired this truck I had a problem that resembles what you are having. First all begun with the oil pressure gauge that first went up and down, and all the sudden just got stuck, by this was followed by the speedometer that it went up, even in park, stayed at 20 , 30 or 50 miles, once I started driving the needle went all the way to the maximum speed of 100 mph as it was on the cluster, even though I was doing 15 miles per hr, my speedometer read 100mph. The next thing that messed up was the rpms gauge, when I drove I had the speedometer stuck on 100, the rpms all the way to 6k. However I am not saying that you have the same problem, but it sounds like my old cluster, I had to make an upgrade, and bought the Escalade premium cluster. Anyway, the motors on this trucks are defective, in 2005 GM revised the motors.

On the other hand, I did not experienced any drive ability issues, not any fuel cut off issues. But could there be the possibility your fuel pump is going south? or the fuel filter is clogged? Are you are getting any engine trouble codes?

Does it do this on the factory tune? Restore the factory tune to try.

runs fine on factory tune, runs fine on all tunes including modified parameters but will not take tire changes. have no speedo issues accept when I try to change tire size.

I had a problem too, when I changed the tire size with the predator U7198, my speedometer indicated me 20 KPH less than my GPS. I was obliged to return to factory tune. After, i was only 1 KPH less than my GPS.

I'm having the same problem with my 2004 Serria Denali everything works but change tires size. I have it 3 times just does change

I have tried all the suggestion I have seen on this website, have not had any luck getting tire size to change.
When I put in the tire size and program the truck when I go back to check it says tire size not set.
