The issue of adding an after market Air Induction system (CAI), has confounded me with the U 7145 Tool. Thought this info could help others in the same situation!
Recent information from Diablo indicates that the U 7145 tool makes the aftermarket Cold Air Inputs is not visible when plugged into a Shelby GT. However, plug the same tool into a standard Must Gt, and the options for different CAI's become visible. Diablo explained that they thought "No One Would Replace the, already, after Market CAI from Ford Racing" Even though we know there are more effecient Air Inductors out there. If you own a Shelby GT, you must request a custom tune from Diablo, for the specific CAI you want to use. The stock Shelby GT CAI is made by Steeda, and a Carbon Fiber Elbow can be purchased directly from Steeda, to increase air flow. Diablo recommends increasing the MAF, as CAI tunes are not available.
Thought this might help other Diablo users. There ia a lot of conflicting information on this subject. So, if you own a Shelby GT, stop searching for the CAI menu in the U 7145, it is hidden!
