Using my new 7198 on my lifted HD2500
I have an 02 HD 2500. whenever I try to tell the programmer i'm using 37" tires the truck refuses to run correctly after the updated program is installed. the speedo jumps up to 100mph while doing 10mph and when the truck goes to shift up it dies until i let off the gas. this was the only change i made to the standard diable program. im running 93 octane all the time, the truck has 4.10's.
the truck operates very good when no changes are made to the standard diablo tune..... one of the main reasons i bought this thing was so i could fix my speedo and get a few more HP's..... thanks for any advice.

It is listed on the top line of the main menu on the Predator when powered up.

.9RO2
just so you know. when i go to tire size to change it..... it seems its preset is 36".
my tires are 37"... the problem is, when the standard program is used, its still reading about 5 mph off from correct.

It is not preset at 36, but rather set to what your stock tires were.
The 36 is just the default for that parameter when you open it, but it is not set to 36".

If the tires are rated as 37' tires, they likely measure out to 35-35.5 in reality.
Try setting it to 35.5" and let us know.

yeah no difference with that. 37" or 35.5" makes no difference.
i see in the manual that pulling the radio fuse is recommended due to possible interference.??? i cant see this effecting the problem im having but i will give that a try.

Power drain is a MAJOR concern. If you have XM or an aftermarket stereo system, remote start, alarm, brake controller, daytime running lights, cell phone charger, etc. they all draw power. Too little power you can turn your ECM into a brick.

i just tried it again.... switched off the remote start, pulled the radio fuses, and no lights of any kind were on. once i change that tire size the trucks speedo zips to 100mph and the engine dies when i accelerate.

This may have been an issue with 9r02...we have updated this tool several times since then, I'd try updating to the latest and try again...

$61 on cables from radio shack. about 3 hours spent installing - downloading - uploading - talking with tech guys and still it DOES NOT work. as soon as i mess with my tire size the speedo goes thru the roof. im at a loss.
