I have been told that the 2007 Shelby GT (Not the GT 500) utilizes a 68 MM Throttle Body? Is there a larger one that you would recommend? Would a retune be in order? Lastly, would there be a noticeable increase in HP?
Thanks/ Bill

Nope, got it backwards. The GT500 has the 68 MM Throttle Body. It is the same throttle body from the V10 Truck motor. Your Shelby GT has the stock Mustang GT Throttle body which is 55 MM. There are aftermarket models out there that increase throttle response to make you think you have more power but INDEPENDENT dyno results show very little power improvement from airflow gains on mostly stock engines. You most likely will need a custom tune for a throttle body. Many people have installed the "no tune required" kits only to find out that the check engine light went on soon after.
If you were to add a whipple or kennebell supercharger, then adding an aftermarket throttle body would give you another 15HP over the stock unit when used with the above mentioned superchargers.
