Big Thanks to Lew!!

Post by 06GTO6.0 »

I just wanted to take the time to extend a big thanks to Lew for his expertise in helping me tune my car... :D . I have my LTFTs dialed in perfect, and hopefully we will work on the PE next. Actually, the LTFTs were pretty dang close with the canned 93 tune. Great job Mike, and everyone else there at DiabloSport. Thanks again Lew!!..... 8)....talk to ya soon, and how's that tractor running?.......lol.

Most GTOs I have seen out of the box run rich at WOT. You may have a little low hanging fruit there. Let it sttle in, log, and let's take a look...

Yep.....all the GTO guys I have talked to have said that they run rich. But, that's that better than running too lean.....lol.....as far as KR is concerned. Can you take a look at my latest log file and see what you think?

Average LTFT Bank 1.....0.78130%
Average LTFT Bank 2.....-1.27460%

Can it be tuned any closer than that? Any recommendations?

If it were me, I would be happy. That’s a s dialed in as you can get, realistically.
I would let the tune settle in for 30-50 miles, then run another cruise log with a few WOT bursts thrown in.

Run it thru dslogredux and see what the PE recommendation is. My guess is that you’re probably running AFR at WOT of about 11.99-12. Ideal is 12.6-12.7. I always err on the side of being rich, rather than lean.

Yep.....I hear ya. The last WOT run I did was a couple days ago, and it was 12.6xx......which is near the sweetspot of 12.6-12.8. Do you think it has changed that much since the last couple of tunes? I would definitely rather be on the side of richer, than leaner if KR is a factor in it. But from what I have seen KR, is minimal at a max of like 3.5 degrees, for a duration of less than a second at WOT. Thanks for any advice.

It's running great. The throttle is much more responsive now. I'm on IM, so if you get a chance give me a holla......ttyl
