DataViewer 3.0.0.16 problem

DataViewer 3.0.0.16 runiing under Windows Vista.
The application installs and opens properly.
Retrieves log files from the Predator.
When you open the log file you can not select any PID's to view.
When you execute play there is a runtime error and the application [DataViewer] terminates.
Have you tested DataViewer with Vista and is there a fix?

I am currently running Windows Vista and i do not have any issues with viewing any of the log files that are on my machine. It will only show you what pids that you recorded. Did you select multiple pids and save the run in the predator. Or is this streaming live to the PC?

These are saved log files uploaded from the Predator.
Even the sample log file gun_it.log that is installed with the software download terminates DataViewer under Vista on my computer.

Windows Vista Home Premium Version 6.0

DiabloSport Downloader version 1.7.4.0 runs fine under Vista and has no problem with a USB to serial converter.


Dataviewer will connect and upload the log file from the Predator using the USB to serial converter and save the file with out problems. It is only when you try to play any log file the application terminates.

Just something I have had trouble with regarding Vista. Was the Vista the original O/S on the computer or did you upgrade to Vista? I've had trouble with my Laptop because my laptop originally came with XP and I received an upgrade to Vista. The upgrade didn't go as smoothly as possible as some registry items did not transfer to the Vista platform. I'd check with your computer's helpdesk or Knowledge base for any known issues during upgrades of Vista. Just my 2 cents.
