9r08 Shift Modes for SRT8

I had thought the shift modes were for 5.7 only.
Niow with 9r08 I see I have choices also.

Can you explain the shift modes that are available?
This should be a sticky.

Also I noticed when I chose "Raised Shift Points" it now states "the rev limiiter must be raised". Didn't it automatically raise the rev limiter on 9r04 and before?

After giving up on an answer here, I checked out a few forums (always a great place place for mis-information...but... as a last result).
From what I read....I guess because I don't have an "08 these modes mean nothing to me. I have an "06 (see sig) with an "07 TCM update, so I do get auto upshift in Auto-Stick. SO I ASSUME the modes still don't do anything for me because I do not have a "08.

I searched this forum and found 1/2 an explanation.
I was still hoping to find a direct explanation of the modes and what years ('06-'08) each mode covers .

I have an 08 SRT8 and was told on this forum that I have to try each mode out and see which one will work. One of them will work on a pre 08. The revision 9r08 I think, just added added more programs to make sure it would work on more cars.
As far as the raised shift points are concerned, it will change at 6400 rpm and will change the rev limiter automatically. I did not know if it would so I went into quick adjust and raised the rev limiter by only 250 rpm and she still changed at 6400, so I think its an automatic change when you select the raised shift points.
I still need to fiund out if changing at 6400 makes the car faster, I am not sure if we are making any additonal power at that RPM. I will have to run 0-60 and quarter mile times with and without raised shift points to check if it actually adds any value.

If you raise the rev limiter, the car still shifts at 6,400... some SRT8's were hitting a few RPM above the limiter before shift because the tranny could not keep up with the acceleration of the engine and then they bounced off the limiter.... aka LIMP MODE!
