I somewhat agree with brlntblackse. The more car models that become supported by DS, the thinner the resources become, the longer it takes to "Update/Enhance" the existing models (what we in the computer technology field call "Add, Change, Delete".) Sounds like DS may need to hire more Project Managers at the very least.... Would they be willing to sponsor a Canadian Visa for me? HINT HINT!!

I feel u on this. This is madness and something needs to be done.THIS IS NOT A WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!!!brlntblackse wrote:I know eventually they will get it fixed but we at the very least are losing warranty time every single day that it is unuseable. I know some users are on 3 months so far thats 12.5% of the warranty period at this minute.
We all know that a poduct once out of warranty significantly decreases in value. So if ,as of today, you are without this piece for 3 months you might feel like you are out about $50. This is basing the value of the piece expiring with the warranty which I realize is not exactly the case.
However consumers are continually warned by Diablo not to buy these units on Ebay which is the largest resell venue in the world today. So from that warning the ability to resell is adversely affected. So if we decided to sell ours today those warnings would also decrease the resale value. With that said I think the depreciation rate is a fair estimate and thats interest withstanding.
A question I have is if there are so many cal id updates included in this non-support issue why is it just being addressed now? Why not address it as each one came out?
Well, my time is almost up.... I will putting on my snow tires in the next week or so and officially giving up on the predator. I started this thread over 2 months ago and the problem was reported first back in July. We have been getting the run around and still do not have an ETA on a software fix for a brand new product that does not work out of the box. This should never be allowed to happen and Diablosport should be held accountable and buyers should be compensated!bighatch wrote:If I had known this I would NEVER had bought the predator! It will probably be winter before this gets resolved and I won't put the tune in then anyway, not while possibly having to drive in snow and bad weather. I honestly can't believe that customers of a $375 product can't even get an ETA on a fix for this. I guess its like Steve Miller said.... "take the money and run" Diablo.
While I don't agree with how this is being handled, I don't believe that it's all DiabloSports fault. Alot of the blame has got to be placed on Chrysler LLC. They're the ones who completely changed the software in the middle of a model year. DiabloSport at least is attempting the correct their programming to go with Chryslers new program. They don't have to do that. They could have just said fuck it, if your car has the old program, you're in luck, you can use the tuner. If you have the new software, fuck off, its not gonna work for you and we don't care.
With that said, this should have been handled alot better. DS only has a limited staff, but the Hemi Rams should have been put on hold to correct this, as long as they're planning to do so. In fact, all new applications should be put on hold at this point to catch up with all the past promises. We know thats not gonna happen though, so DS needs to hire some more people. Its gonna cut into the profits, but so is fucking over previous customers who could have recommended them.
