u1793 error message

I have only used the sport for about a month. Installed the 87 tune. Had to take the burb back to the dealer today for a ongoing warranty repair on the HVAC system.

To be safe I wanted to reinstall the factory tune. I kept getting the error message asking if the key was on. I couldn't get anything to work...diagnostics as well. Yes, the key was on.....

Hope the dealer doesn't notice. I was at the dealer's lot so I couldn't change my appointment.

How do I get this thing to work.?

I didn't have the parking brake on and the daytime lights were on; have onstar, but it's not activated anymore, and wasn't a problem on the initial install.

What do I do next?

04 Chevy Suburban, 2500, 6.0, 4x4, no other mods

Are you sure the key is in the 'run' position?
Can you try to use the tool to communicate with another truck?

Yes, KOEO at first, then I even started it, so yeh, key was on.

Can I try it on any OBII vehicle, or does it have to be an 04-05?

The diagnostic/live data should work on most supported 99-05 trucks.

Just tried an '01 silverado HD, 6.0 code U....

same error message, and YES the key was on.

Sounds like there is an issue with the Predator.
