What is the melting point for the cummins? I am waiting for gauges to show up in the mail, but I have been with out them for quite a while, I was on stacker tow on the 90hp puck and running with a supercharged range rover and we were hitting some rediculous speeds but I noticed my engine temp about 2 needles widths past 200, so i quit hauling A$$, I guess what i am getting at is what temp are you guys seeing if some has close to my setup? Thanks!

2 needles above 200 is getting scary,i bet you were at 1300.for short bursts its ok,lots of guys drag race and sled pull for short periods at higher than that.you should be fine.get those gauges though.its the duration in the pred that causes the heat.duration makes great power but at a cost.

I really really appreciate that! I cant wait for guages, do you think that the aero turbine muffler is better than a straight pipe, it says that it creates a vaccume in there and it really lowers the egt's....whats ur personel opinion?

im not familiar with that mufler but ive never heard of a mufler being able to cause a vacumm,these trucks put out alot of volume of exhaust with alot of presure pushing it,the only exhaust mod ive heard of that lowers egts is stacks,i put stacks on my 01 and the shorter pipe and large stacks lowered temps by almost 200 degrees,i think your straight pipe and intake are good,just get the pyro soon.

i do like the straight pipe, but check out aero tubine .com and see what you think. we need to have a predator meeting where we can get together and show off a little bit. Are there any Texas Boys, maybe we an start a chapter here, there are some smarty guys in S.A. but they always talk s*@t about the diablo. let me know what you thinkl.

Is the EGT probe in the manifold or downpipe?

on extreme I can bury the needle in 4 sec. thats pushing over 1500* egt. I have my probe in the manifold taking off the back 3 cyl. with the boost fooler it certainly helps lower the egts. I have had mine over 1300 for quite some time. probably not a good idea as aluminum melts at 1300. Anyway its good to have guages to warn you if your being bad. I have been driving my baby like a baby lately. I love the power just don't use it all the time.

on tow tune i am hitting 1325* @ WOT, so I loaded performance and I get lower EGT's because i cant run WOT due to the clutch slippage but even though I cant use the whole throttle I still feel like I am faster on this setting but that is by my $0.02! BTW I just added some PhantonII's 3 weeks ago and they look awsome, so now I know what's going on in there.

I was out ripping tonight and on perf I can hit 1400 + in no time at 60 mph then hitting the throttle. Is this normal??? Also is it possible at that speed to give it throttle and slip the trans?? I think I was but have never done it so not sure what to listen/feel for. What egt's are guys seeing at normal cruising speeds?? thanx
just cruisn 70/75mph I see 850* or 950* even at 90mph, it only gets hot when you are dumping alot fuel in it and makeing smoke, at 70mph and I can stand on it to 106mph (since the top speed limiter dosent work on the G-56) it will hit 1225* pertty fast but it cools to 1000* real quick also. hope this helps!
