Catalyst full codes on 08 2500 cummins

Post by trudyno »

I have a customer that started getting catalyst full codes not sure the exact number right now. He says that the extreme power puck seems to be working fine but is wondering if it could have something to do with the codes being set for the DPF. Has anyone seen this yet?

He has also recently installed an auxillary fuel tank. Not sure if that could be related.

Thanks,
Aaron Lail

Hmmm, not sure about that Aaron, haven't heard of any similar issues.

See if you can get the P codes and we'll check it out.

Have the customer take a drive on the freeway for about 10-15 miles and see if the catalyst full indicator starts to go down. Tell hime to maintain a certain speed to make sure the regen process will kick in.

Another thing is to have him remove the Puck and go to the dealer to make sure all recalls have been performed on the Particulate Filter.
