Whats the best Exhaust match?

Post by MAXPOWER »

:?: I have my 7180 loaded in my truck. Set on the economy tune 65hp. Needless to say it's AWSOME. Mpg is better and the truck woke up. It is a 2003 Duallie 4X4 with 40k miles. I added a K&N cold air intake and want to change the exhaust. What is the best match for a daily driver? I don't plan on doing anything else after the exhaust. I want to be able to swap back to the factory exhaust if the truck has to go to the dealer. I have an extended warranty and that company will void it if I change the exhaust. They already tried because of the K&N but I fought them and won. (they claimed it was a fuel system upgrade because of the sticker FPK Fuel Performance Kit on it) I was told the muffler is the only restriction I need to change. I want to go with a new muffler into duals. What works best???

The most common exhaust brands will be your MBRP and MagnaFlow.

I run a 4in. no cat and no muffler MBRP system in which I like very much.

In your case IMO I would run a straight exhaust (no muffler, no cat) just because I think it would be easier to take on and off when you have to take it to the Stealer.

All this is JMO.

If you go to this web-site http://dieseltowingresource.com/ and ask the same question you would have plenty of guys that would gladly help out.

You may want to look up the Magnusin Moss Act ( sp ). It apply's to factory warrenties, don't know about after market. In short it say's they have to prove a mod caused the failure you are complaining about........It pay's to keep up with SEMA

I don't know one dealer that is gonna take their time to find out if a simple exhaust mod was the cause of a failure.

Exactly...Prove being the key word....Most people do not even know this law is there and get intimidated by Dealers. Start spewing back legal verbage to them and they back off like wipped puppies. Anyone that wrenches should keep a copy of this law in their glove box.
