Diablosport tune makes my gto run really really really bad

that tune file you posted, is that the original backup tune file, or the diablo/ "extra" tune copied outta your car?

johan just looked at it for me quick, and mentioned that it looked like a predator tune

I use Conoco 93 octane (only gas in my area without ethanol in it). THat log was actually done with the 91 octane tune. It was ormal steady driving at around 60mph, but the car was jerking all over like a cylinder wasn't firing at about the rate shown on the kr jumps.

So what now?

I used DSDownloader and selected "Get Tune File From Predator".

It said click yes to download original backup file. I clicked yes. That is the file I gave you.

Also I was wondering the difference between DSDownloader and GMLS2Interface was.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the guy put a tune on the car. Honestly I bought this car over the other gto's I test drove because this one seemed faster, even faster than the m6's i drove. I just assumed it was better maintained or I got a "good one" from the factory.

I appreciate it. Thank you. But I have a couple questions:

So did my car already have some tye of tune done to it?

Should I have the dealer re-flash when I take it so i can at least have a standard factory tune to start with?

k, that was NOT a stock 2006 gto tune in there...

if you load that custom tune into the predator and install it to your car, that will eliminate any "apply" issues that may have occured before which could be the reason you're having issues. so import the custom tune into your predator, then install it into your car, and see how it runs.

if it runs good, then you're all set...

And this is what you'd need to do if you want the dealer to flash a stock tune to it:

restore the original backup to the car... this will unlock the predator from it and it will be ready to use afterwards...

then have your dealer reflash the car with a stock 2006 gto GM tune...

then once you get home, you can try the preset Diablo Tune again, or just import the custom tune back to the predator and load that one again, and go from there.

if it were ME and MY car, I would restore the original backup to the car to unlock the predator, then have my dealer flash it with a stock GM tune for the car, then get home and install the preset Diablo Tune (for 93 octane) and then take the car for a drive to see how it is running.

oh holy hell! It runs great!! Spun the tires all the way through first and half way through second. After going down the orad sideways for about 100', it shot up to 100 in no time. Oh wow. My tires will not last through this. Thank god gas prices are low right now. I see a few days of wot ahead of me.
