Hypothetical Question on U7194

Post by deereman »

Let's say I download my stock tune today and upgrade to the performance tune. Now, my car needs to go to the dealer for warranty work so I reload the stock tune. The dealer now has an update for the stock tune which they apply to the PCM. Question is, when I get the car back home and connect the Predator to my machine, is it now going to treat the updated stock tune done by the dealer as the "stock tune" or does it somehow know about my original stock tune?

Thanks,

since you restored the original stock tune before taking it to the dealer, when you get it back and go to put the diablo tune back in, it will backup the "stock" GM tune again, just like the first time. so if the dealer updated the pcm, the backup will now be the updated pcm programming that the dealer put in.
