Change tire size and torque mangement

Post by flyin6 »

I have two Pedators, one for my 2007 H2, a U7192 I believe and the latest a U7194 which is installed in my 2008 Sierra Denali with the 6.2L and 6-speed.

I want to start the custom adjustment beginning with adjusting for a tire size change. So, how exactly do I do that???

Is it done from a laptop, or from somewhere in the startup menu in the Predator. If it is the latter, I'm not seeing it.

Question 2: On the H2, I want to disable the torque mangement feature, how is that done???

Select the tune you want to modify then select 'modify tune' and then modify parameters, and you'll get a list of all the things you can change.

Make the changes then press esc till it asks if you want to install the modified tune and hit yes...

This is hurting my head.
Where do you make the changes? On the predator module, or through your PC?

I inserted the disc in my PC and copied the usb to serial driver files. Then I plug the predator into the serial to USB adapter cable and plug it in... and... nothing happens. Nothing starts, nothing gets recognized, nadda!

When the Predator tool powers up, the first page says:

Performance tune
diagnistics
options
tool info

OK, so if I select performance tune, it wants to go through the install...again!

No "modify tune" in sight.

So assuming this is brand new to me and I don't have a clue how this particuliar software runs, how do I get to the places I paid to use?????

Performance tune/select the tune/select modify tune.

Its possible that on the U7192 (what revision is on it?) that you have to select modify tune before you select the tune, but the option is always there....

As for interfacing with the PC, there are instructions here in the stickies and on the downloads pages for these tools here on our site.

Thanks
