Rear 02 sensor 06 disable on C6 Vette

Post by BrentC »

From the adjustable parameters listed on the Diablo website it shows the rear 02 can be disabled for use with long tube headers (for track use only).
I have long tube headers and hi flow cats from Billy Boat and I get the P0420/0430 codes for cat efficency problem. This only happens "at the track". One reason I purchased the Diablo was for this ability and I can't find that particular setting. I have not loaded the last update at this time but I see nothing that indicates it will be there.
Note: The BB headers and RT 66 touring sound tough. Not to loud, nice rip that sounds somewhat like a Ferrari but American V8. A slight bit of drone in the 1200-1500 RPM range but typically not there much.

Hey Brent, the Predator tune should automatically disable the rear O2 sensors.
Are you sure you have the tune installed?
Do you know what revision this tool is on?

You dont have to tell us, we're big fans of the B&B setups on the Vettes around here!

Thanks

So, the Diablo tune in my '06
Vette disables the rear 02 sensors. What does that gain? I have Bullets but not headers.

tnx,

Mike

That allows you to remove the catalytic converters with out getting a check engine light.

Rear O2 Sensor disable on 06 C6 Vette

Post by BrentC »

Mike,
I have the 8ro3 version. When first installed the cat eff. problem (no check engine light) stayed off for a few days and returned. Tune was definately in the car as indicated by unit. I would clear the check engine light but it would come back on within 4-6 start cycles. Codes are for the rear cat O2 efficency every time. Doing this every day gets old so I live with the light. Can an update be provided that will manually give the disable option similar to the CAGS option?
Thanks,

The rear 02 codes are turned off in the tunes, not the cot (420/430) codes. We are working on long tube header tunes to include in the predator, i will get a C6 in next week for this. If anyone has a Z-06 with headers and wants a free custom dyno tune please contact me, oh and unless you mind driving we are in S.Florida.
