tranny relearn?

hello there i just picked up a u7185 from our local auto parts dealer the unit appears unused, and loaded a tune into my truck just fine. but the box was opened so i'm not sure if i'm missing anything. just wonderinghow or where i can find the right process to properly relearn the tranny. i was told from another site that the process could be found on diablos site but i cant find it , anyone help me out ...

People have posted the tranny relearn procedure here, but it is not done with the Predator.

hey there,
i got a 2004 lb7 duramax. i got a u7180 programmer. and i would set the tune at 65 and i would go down the road not pinned up, but pickin up speed and once i get to 80 mph and about 3 grand it kicks me out of that gear and wont downshift. it says on the msg "range shift perhibeted" the thing is im not being hard on the tranny i can go faster in stock. please help

it does it when i try to go fast and it kicks me out of that gear and wont down shift and the engine light comes on. then i go diagnostics on the ds and it says po102 mass air flow circuit, low input. and po112 intake air temp circuit, low input?

so i just shut off my truck and redownload the tune and my tranny shifts fine and after i drive my truck around for awhile the engine light comes off. so i try not to gun it but whats the point havin the ds when you cant gun it right?

its done it with the 65, 85, 120 hp. whats wrong? im afraid to pin it cuz its just gonna kick me out and put me in like 3rd gear.

One way to speed up the trans relearn is to start from a stop in D, let it upshift to 5th or 6th(depending on trans), then put it in 1st and let it downshift until you come to a full stop, repeat this 2 more times.
And dont worry it will not downshift into 1st as soon as you put it in 1st it will shift down through the gears until you reach 1st.
