2005ctd RKL extreme tune help!!!!

Does the RKL extreme tune work for the 2005 ctd U7130?? I tried downloading it into my predator with the dsdownloader. When I go to install into my truck. It says cannot read or load version 1.8.0.0 or something like that. I have version 26 in the predator. It tellls me to use the custom tune and when I go to options- custom tune it says use ds downloader which I have. I would like to have the extreme RKL with added timing and also the stack one because I have the power puck as well. Any ideas?? It downloads into the the predator from the pc computer fine and it says download success, but I can't get it loaded into the truck/ Does the truck need to be put back to stock then load the custom tune?. I have it on extreme tune and the puck on high right now. My calid is 25325451AK, Thanks.

are you sure you downloaded the right extreme tune for your calid?maybe try it again from the start,it should go in,i did mine this weekend and it worked well.when you go to performance tunes does it give you the option for the custom tune and you select it and it wont go in?or is there no option for custom tune?try it from the begining making sure you installed the right calid tune,let us know how it works out.

I believe those custom tunes are for "G" calid's and older.....

There is no option under the performance tune heading for custom tune. I plugged it into the truck. Say's "booting cummins" then I have R26 version. Goto performance tune. Pick the power puck stack program option. Say's "loading" goes to 100% complete then it comes up as cannot load custom tune and something about version 1.8.0.0 is not supported or something. I wish I had a lab top with wireless internet then I could tell you exactly what it says. It then says go to options custom tune and load it from there. So I did that and under custom tune heading it says this is obsolete goto main menu and use the ds downloader which I did. I downloaded the extreme rkl tune with added timing and it was the one that started with 25xx. I downloaded it from the sticky at the top of the forum page for U7130. The predator programmer knows that the custom tune is loaded into it because I cannot pick another tune like tow under the performance heading until I go to options, custom tune and pick erase custom tune. Then it allows me the pick either tow or extreme. Thanks, Marty

Yeah!!!, I got the RKL ext tune figured out. Had to go in performance tunes and then into custom tunes. I kept going into extreme tune and it wouldn't work. Anyway I just schooled a new 6.4L ford twin turbo haha, eat your heart out ford lovers!!. He was talking smack about his new "twin turbos". Well his turbo's didn't help him any eating all the black smoke from my truck. Nice work, Diablo sports!!!. I'm glad I put the new south bend clutch in!!
