Serial Cable for Update

I have a 2007 Hemi Ram and was wondering if I need to get the cable and power supply for updating the Predator. I am thinking with my laptop serial port I could use a standard computer serial cable and I could power the tuner through the OBD II Port. Is this correct?

Yeah you can use the vehicle as power supply no problem.
