I hope I am misunderstanding what ive read. my car is stock aside from gears and predator tune. i will of had the tune installed for a year by the time emissions roll around again. do i have to go through the whole obd cycle thing in order to pass inspection?that would be a major inconveniance where i live...not many open roads. if so will i pass by simply restoring original backup before the inspection. thanx in advance for any feedback.

Either way the car still needs to complete the drive cycle. Check it for codes and if P1000 is present then you need to complete the drive cycle. Restoring the original tune will reset everything and guarantee you have to run it through the cycle.

Wow. I actually did not know that. Now is this required if you only have the P1000 code and if you are above 2438 meters altitude?

Any time you clear engine codes or change your tune, it resets OBDII drive cycles (Readiness monitors) all you need to do is drive the car/truck. Some makes may take awhile, up to 100 miles. (Like GM'S) The computer needs time to verify that all emissions equipment is functioning properly. Especially Evap, Cats, EGR, etc.

Oh, OK. I did know this. Just the way that OBD link talked about it I thought it was some new thing I did not know about.
Thanks for clearing that up.

kaisoboy can you help me with a Problem? We have the same tuner and my wires got pulled out of the connector. Could you open yours and reply back on the locations of the 5 colored wires. Then I could solder them back. I have a topic on it for more info. thanks

Sure, Did the wires come out of the OBD female connector or from the hand unit?

Thanks for that info. I was going to do the same thing by taking a photo for him.
