Johan:
image you drinking a bear in your courtyard Sunday Monday.
suddenly some guy call you at the phone saying that he has a tuning tool with the original settings of the car that you just bought.
and he need to put these settings back?????
what are you going to respond? oh yea why not? came to my house and connect who knows what on my OBD port.
this is Miami here, this is a jungle, here people shoot to kill if you scratch their car.
Nobody is going to admit nothing like that.
I also know the dealer where I trade my car sold my charger already. is not in the web site any more.
I can fax you all the details that I’m telling you here , you can call the dealer where I trade my car. what I need is just to clean the unit.
I agree to pay any maintenance fee if you understand convenient.
I don't want nobody working for free in something that was my mistake, but come on, this is not a military academy, we are car enthusiasts

If as you say you want to give this unit to a friend, than it has no real value to you. So I do not understand why you would want to pay Diablo to unlock it. You paid for one tuner and you used it to tune 1 car, now that car is running diablo software, so if they unlock it you can than have a second car running a diablo tune and only paid for 1 tuner. Now if you totalled the car thats a differant story, that would mean that only one car would be running the tune. Now would you just move on with your life.

Dude, I am 38 years old.... life has taught me that respect is earned, not automatically given.... especially to stupid people so go sell your BS somewhere else! Great thing about living in a free country... I am free to call you an idiot all I want!!alex3dworld wrote:Fishy?

If you didn't want to get flamed, then you should have called DiabloSport directly, instead of posting your crap on a public forum.

This is not about free country
For sure you don’t walk the streets calling "stupid" to everybody
You just behave like a coward, behind a computer, talking all your s...
And about your age………. if you are really 38, are you crippled in a chair full of anger against the world
Or you are mentally retarded,
Anyway, you don’t deserve my time

Interesting.
First off, Diablo sells not only the tuner but also the tunes that come with it (intellectual property). The tunes themselves have value which is validated by what CMR tuners charge when they do a custom tune for you. This is why they lock the tuner to a single car. It's the same as having a piece of software licensed to a single PC at a time.
You said that you didn't actually forget but thought it would be better for the new owner to get the car already tuned. So you placed value on the tune also. You may have told the used car dealer and they may or may not have told the buyer to add value to the car. Even if no one knew and the car ran better it would have added value to the car. In that respect you may have sold some or all of the tuner already.
Let's say no one is aware of the tune (this could help you have the dealer bring the car back so you could return it to stock).
If there was any sort of warranty transferred with the car it could be voided. If there were engine or possibly even transmission problems and the car goes in for warranty work they will know it has a tune and may not honor the warranty. Not sure if that might come back on you if you didn't disclose that when selling it.
Don't know where you live but here in CA it's illegal to make any changes to anything that might effect the emissions on vehicles driven on the road. Not sure what the fine is but people are forced to remove mods and return cars to stock all the time. The car may not pass emissions testing with the tune in it. The owner might have to bear the cost or possibly the dealer and again, it might come back to you if it wasn't disclosed at the time of sale. In CA that car would have to be sold "for off road use only".
So it's possible that everyone knew about the tune and it was used as a selling point or not everyone knew about the tune and that might lead to some issues in the future.

Wow, not cool man.
This tool is locked, and should not be offered for sale to anyone.
Anyone want to link this thread to that one?

Thanks Mike..... I will post links on lxforums but since I own a Magnum, I am not a member of the Charger Forums.
Like I said before, The guys at DS know me... johan, mikel and BrianM know that I don't BS... I joke around a lot, but I don't BS... and I take no crap FROM ANYONE!!!!
I don't like to show my pissed off side very often...I will now return to my regularly scheduled happy, helpful and joking personality and let you guys at DiabloSport deal with alex3dworld your own way.
