2007 Mustang GT Detonation

Has there been any reports of Detonation/Pinging on GT's with the C&L Street tune? The tune only requires 91 Octane, I'm running 93. I'm not sure if what I heard was pinging but above 5500rpm I heard a strange sound coming from the motor. Is there any way I can data log to see if its pinging?

I have a similar issue with my 05 gt and c&l street tune. I'm running 93 and added 2* to the 91 tune. I hear something at higher RPMs just after shifting (manual) that sounds like knock but I'm not sure. I would like to hear the answer to your question on monitoring this with the data log.

acascianelli, You can datalog the knock sensors in Diagnostics, Realtime Data under the WOT menu. Choose select from list and pick RPM, Load, Spark Advance, KS1 and KS2, then save a log of a run while you hear the noise. When done logging you can play it back on the Predator or upload it to your PC. If you see the KS Pids increase to the thousands rapidly then you may have some knock. I have seen many aftermarket parts cause rattles or noise that can set them off as well. If you have the cables to upload the log to the PC I can take a look at them for you.
