I forgot to remove superchips before I updated trucks computer through the predator. Is their anyway I can remove the update and take superchips out of the computer??
I get a mismatch code when I plug superchips in.
I just want to give this POS to my buddy who wants to clear codes with it.

RE: I didn
The SC is going to need to be reflashed.
RE: I didn
Yeah i think you might be sol there. Unless you cal SC and explain your dilemma, i am pretty sure it will still scan codes on other vehicles though.

Just curious, why can't you restore the original backup (which was a SC tune) back into the truck with the predator.
then take the SC and return the tune back to stock? Does the predator leave something in the pcm after it's restored to the original backup and removed?

RE: I didn
You can restore the original backup with the Predator but what happened was that you reflashed your PCM to the most current Chrysler PCM stock tune when you did the calibration update. This rewrote your entire PCM with Chryslers current PCM tune. There's no turning the PCM back to the older Chrysler operating software at this point. This update wiped the PCM clean of any foreign tuning or "signatures" such as the one left by the SC. The Predator is designed to always work off of the most up to date factory operating software. The Predator tune you installed is totally seperate from the calibration update which is permanent. I'm sure SC will unlock/reset it for you.
RE: I didn
I'm pretty sure SC doesn't require you to return the vehicle to stock before updating to the latest SC revisions. I don't like doing that and I aways return to stock and unvinlock SC first but I think it can be done.
So if that's the problem, then update the SC and maybe it will allow you take the diablo back to the orig tune then take that tune back to stock tune with SC. If it works you would have the original tune back and superchips would un lvin lock.

RE: I didn
Yea I wish I didn't do this when I was hung over but I had to fight with the damn psc to get that un-installed and then trying to learn the stuff on the predator I forgot about the superchips. It's the 3714 superjunk (for the '03s) that is not updateable. This was the only tuner availeable for my truck 3 years ago. My buddy has a stock '03 truck and I was going to give it to him just to play with.
I also sent supchips an e-mail 4 days ago, no response....... and they want feed back on what they can do to improve their tuners now that the Predator has hit the market..........screw them.
As soon as Stu sends me a tune for my stroker I will post a vid on you tube of me running this POS over in a cloud of smoke.
