Thanks RedHemi, that is input with value. I would not have thought to test without MDS. This is they type of thing worth posting. Maybe Mike Levy will learn something from your example.
I think at this point I will return it though. Now that snow is on the ground I have also noticed that the tracing control is not as efficient on ice and snow.

What traction control is efficient on snow and ice? If you spin the tires on snow or ice, traction control probably ain't gonna help much anyway.Racin67Chevy wrote: I think at this point I will return it though. When you reduce Torque Management, you reduce ESP/BAS.... definition = Traction Control is reduced / eliminated. I was running the canned 93CAI tune during a snowstorm and I was able to do donuts with my AWD 5.7L Magnum.... it was scary as hell.... friggin' awesome, but scary as hell
It Scared me half to death!
I switched back to the 91CAI due to lack of easy access to the 94 octance fuel. Johan created a 91CAI "No Donut" tune for me (at no charge). He put the Torque Management back to stock for me and now I feel safer during a snowstorm plus I get to keep the advanced timing and engine performance of the 91CAI tune.
BTW... when I was running the 93CAI canned tune, my fuel mileage did in fact increase by an average 12.62% by my calculations over the life of 6 tanks of fuel.
The support from DS has been outstanding for me and many other LX owners. Return the Predator if you want, but considering the cost of engine mods for the same HP gains and other competing tuners, I'll stick with the Predator, thank you!

Nah, not gonna happen. I think just about everybody here knows by now, that I'm not gonna sugar coat shit. I'm gonna tell stuff the way it is, and those that don't like it, well, thats just too bad. Get thicker skin and deal with it.Racin67Chevy wrote: Maybe Mike Levy will learn something from your example.

I have a 2007 Daytona, so it is comparable to an RT w/ RT.
Since I bought the Predator, about 8 months ago I've noticed much better performance (spins wheels easily, accelerates much faster) and also some improvement in gas mileage (about 1.5 mpg average). But that is only half the story... The Predator opens up so much more when comes to customizing a Charger. I've modified my exhaust system with CAI, headers, high-flow cats, catback. Later, I'll be adding on performance heads and camshaft. I may even get my Hemi upgraded to a 392 (or even 426)! Without the Predator I'd never be able to apply a CMR tune, manage other 'quick' tune adjustments, or identifiy or reset any failure codes the car's computers might throw.
I'm just sayin' that there's much more to the Predator than gas mileage improvements. With respect to this thread - there are gas mileage savings, since the performance improvements don't decrease gas mileage, and in most cases gas mileage will improve slightly (1-2 mpg). The last crom updates now make my MDS come on and stay on more often.
MDS only gets you significant gas mileage increases (2-5mpg) if you cruise the majority of your drive (mostly highway). Most Chargers w/ Hemi 5.7 engines consistently get around 25mpg on the highway. It's rare to see much more than that, even with special tuning and careful driving. In fact, it's more critical to keep your tires properly inflated and adjust your driving habits. Add in a well-tuned vehicle (Predator helps with that, a free-flowing exhaust, good spark plugs, oil and other fluid changes) and you shoulld be getting about 14-18mpg (city) and 25mpg (highway).
On-top-of-all-that... if you can get a laptop hooked up to the Predator you can do incredible data logging in the DataViewer application!! You can really see what your car is doing with that.
I'm just saying that the Predator is just one part of the gas mileage equation, and that it offers so much more than just that.
P.S. - Don't forget to reset your PCM Adaptives. You need to do that to get the full effect of your Predator tune.
