maf adjustments

Post by one4uband »

Yes I have a 2007 gt mustang. I have a bbk cai, a pypes muffler delete kit, and the predator 93 octane tune. I was getting the two lean codes that most people usually get when the write in. I have had the intake and exhaust for a while and it just started giving the two codes before I got the tuner. I bought the tuner thinking it would solve it, but I still am getting the same two codes again. Can you adjust the MAF curve to get the problem fixed, and if it runs lean which way do I go when adjusting it to the positive or negative? I adjusted it to 20 % negative and test drove it, and the light did not come on so far. Sometimes it does not come on everytime you drive it.

I also wanted to download the manuel as per the quick set up instruction book, but I don't see a link for it. Is there a link ?

I have been reading some older post and I think I have went the wrong way to adjust the maf curve. I should go positive about 5 to 10 % instead negative on it. Is this right?

Removing 20% of fuel isn't what you need for the BBK intake. This intake REQUIRES tuning, even though they say it doesn't. There isn't enough adjustment with the user options in the Predator to properly adjust for this in the required amounts. By just adjusting it 20% overall you are removing too much fuel in certain portions of the tune that needs more.

The best thing to do is buy a custom tune written for your list of modifications. Check out my website and my tune files as I can write the program that will work properly with your car and your list of mods.

Thanks, Doug
